SHORE FISHING AT IT’S VERY BEST

Hello, and welcome to Catch.is, the number one fishing Holiday Company in Iceland.

Using our vast network of guides, varied accommodation, and of course huge numbers of fish, we aim to provide you with a holiday specifically tailored to your needs.

If you have never been to Iceland, prepare to be shocked! We guarantee you will never have experienced anything like it before. Almost the entire coastline produces fish, and the hotspots have so many fish, that your bait is regularly intercepted as soon as it hits the seabed. During the course of a day, a 100lb bag of fish is within everyone’s reach. If the fish are on, 200lb bags are certainly on the cards and if the fish are really on…the only limit is your own stamina!

Iceland isn’t only about huge bags of fish; we also have big fish out there too. Every species of fish we have here grows to specimen size, and they all come within casting distance of the shore. You would be very unlucky if you didn’t go home with at least one new personal best, or maybe even an entirely new species you have never caught before.

Nothing compares to a day of Icelandic sea fishing, and a few quotes tell the story far better than we ever could.

“It’s ridiculous, the fish never stop biting!”

“Watching a whale swim by, less than 30m from the rock where I was fishing, was simply amazing!”

“This is the first time, in all the years I’ve been fishing, that I’ve ever had to leave my bait out of the water so I could have time for something to eat!”

“Spectacular scenery and unbelievable fishing.”

“A fish a cast for over 8 hours, I can’t quite decide whether this is heaven or hell?”

“Can we have a day off tomorrow? I don’t think I can handle another days fishing”.

Iceland, the land of fire and ice, is home to some of the best Atlantic salmon and game fishing in the world. In 2008 it had its best salmon fishing season for many years. With crystal-clear, well-managed rivers and breathtaking scenery, it is no surprise that for generations, anglers have come to (and subsequently fallen in love with) Iceland.
